About the Business
Introduction: We are 'Bryce of Crieff', a family run shoe shop, located at 27 High Street, Crieff, Perthshire PH7 3HU, in the heart of Scotland approx. 18 miles west of Perth, 22 miles north of Stirling and 50 miles from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The photograph does not do justice to the actual size of the shop and the quite literally thousands of pairs of Ladies and Gents footwear that we have in stock, ranging from slippers to sandals and from shoes to boots.
History: The family shoe business started ninety years ago, in 1918, when a young man named Joseph Bryce, excused from active service in World War I, due to only having one leg, moved to Crieff as a cobbler. He lost no time in setting himself up in a small shop in King Street, marrying and starting a family. At the end of World War II, his second son John (known as 'Jack') returned from duty to join the business.
